Kate, Peng, and Rompf Promoted to Associate Professor
Purdue University’s Board of Trustees approved faculty promotions for the 2020-2021 academic year. In the Department of Computer Science, three individuals have been promoted to associate professor; Aniket Kate, Chunyi Peng, and Tiark Rompf.
Bertino and Hussain Author CCC White Paper on 5G Security and Privacy
The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) released a white paper titled “5G Security and Privacy – A Research Roadmap.” The white paper, authored by Bertino with Hussain and Chowdhury (University of Iowa), aims to stimulate conversation around a research roadmap for the security of 5G-related technologies.
SOL4CE Cyber/Cyber-Physical Laboratory opens at Purdue University
Dongyan Xu, Samuel D. Conte Professor of Computer Science and Director of CERIAS is the first to conduct research deployed on the SOL4CE laboratory.
CS Professors Prepared for Learning Remotely
The department was quickly able to optimize learning remotely for students. Faculty and staff have worked to transfer lectures, labs, and office hours to online platforms – incorporating course resources and tools available through the university.
