I use your meters for battery, network, earthquakes and drives. Also the tray clock, world clock and system control.
You get my OWPA. One Wire Pliers Award. Congratulations.

Just what I was looking for. There exists more than one of this category of gadget—some are better than others. Some outright don’t work right. This one’s simple, straightforward, work perfectly, and offers the ability to customize its background color, as well as the clock color if so desired.

Normal Windows 8 Shutdown and Boot are more like Windows 7 Hibernate and Restart from Hibernate. They are actually called Hybrid Shutdown and Hybrid Boot. The Hybrid Shutdown/Boot provides a very fast Boot. It is actually a shutdown of the current user plus a hibernate of the OS. Starting may not even go through the BIOS and the OS is reloaded directly from the hibernate image. The system never “Shuts down” in the classic (Win 7 “hard Shutdown”) meaning.
The “Shutdown” button with this Gadget does do a classic (hard) Shutdown. It DOES NOT do a Win 8 hybrid shutdown. This causes a typical Windows slow Start when used.
Gadget could be improved by providing buttons for both a Win8 hybrid Shutdown as well as the classic “hard” shutdown.

i know it seems a bit silly, but this is the most useful gadget I have ever used. It is an extremely handy way to shut down, restart, sleep, and hibernate a machine. And it tells time!
Seriously, I use this to sleep my desktop and laptop. When you get those pesky “restart to complete installation” things, this is a great way to control it yourself.
The lock/unlock keeps me from restarting by accident.
Seriously handy little gadget that takes almost no space and does what it says…no more, no less.

Great Gadget! If you make the icons more modern and let people change the size of the gadget then would be a million times better.

My favorite gadget. When developing it is always good to be able see if the system is still alive, (when it keeps on ticking, then I’m good) thanks you everyone…

I really couldn’t see the point of this gadget in Windows Vista or Windows 7 – but it comes into it’s own on the desktop of Windows 8. No need to search around for these controls – just click the gadget – teriffic!

I found the idea of this tool very good to not have to click through the lengthy menu. But after some testing i found out that on my Samsung P480 Notebook with Windows 7 64 Bit, the Standby button does a Hibernate instead and the Log off button only locks the computer. Also i’d find it nice to change the size of the gadget like in your other tools.
Keep your good work up!
